A Jolly Festival Tour Around the Philippines

Celebrity mom and chef Donita Rose is setting the MassKara Festival on fire and is cooking her way around the Philippines with Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil. She began her festival tour with the Kadayawan Festival in Davao City, then onwards to Naga City for the Peñafrancia Festival.

The heartwarming feel of sharing a feast is just one of the many sweeteners of cooking especially for Filipinos, and Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil ambassador Chef Donita Rose happily imparts her passion in cooking at the next stop of her Regional Festival Tour, the Masskara Festival.

During the recent MassKara Festival here in my city, Bacolod, Chef Donita did a cooking demo at the GMA Kapuso Mall Show in SM City Bacolod. She prepared Kansi, a bone marrow soup that is one of the finest delicacies in the region, and added her own twist to the recipe using her cooking techniques  and unique fresh ingredients from the City of Smiles.

“The Bacolodnons, with their wide array of food cuisines, really love to eat particularly during the almost month-long Masskara Festival. Our culture is practically centered on food which brings families closer, so we should also be aware of how we prepare the food and what ingredients we use for the dishes that we serve,” Donita remarked.

Good for the Heart

Jolly Heart Mate Canola  Oil is the perfect partner to cook the delectable dishes during festivities because it has the lowest amount of bad fats or saturated fats, but contains the good kind like omega 3 and 6. It also has Vitamin A and has a light texture, pale golden color, and neutral taste that makes it ideal for all types of cooking. Aside from being versatile, it also has one of the highest smoking points which is great for frying.
