Though I try as much as possible to be a light traveler, there are things I cannot do away with which I carry with me during my journeys. They’re packed in my bags along with other essentials and clothes. Here are five of my five favorite travel accessories that make galavanting to different places easy and convenient.

1. Flygrip

The first time I had this was two years ago when Flygrip sent me a sample of their product so I can promote in my blog. It’s not often that I get offers in my blog for a feature and I often frown upon the idea but when the item arrived at my doorstep and I got to test it myself, I became an instant fan.

Now, I received another product and I’m surprised that it is not yet available in the country. (Well, I haven’t seen anyone using a flygrip in the Philippines. Not that I’m aware of.) It’s quite pricey though, probably one of the reasons why it’s not yet distributed here. I wasn’t expecting the second package from them. I’m delighted to find the new one in white and it’s longer and uses a magnetic technology.

Flygrip allows me to hold on to my phone without the fear of having it slip from my hands. It makes doing other things very easy and it also doubles as a phone stand.

2. Passport holder

This wallet stores my passport, travel-related cards, extra cash, and my tiny red notebook where I scribble information and details about my journey. It has many pockets and it’s something that is easy to carry. I love the aqua blue color, too, which can instantly catch the eye.

3. Shopping bag

Having an extra bag at hand is very convenient especially when you suddenly have a last minute shopping galore as you leave a particular place. I got this bag during a conference I attended in San Francisco, California, USA.  It is very small and its material very light but expands into a size that can carry several things. I also like it that it has a hook which can also be a keychain that I can attach to my backpack.

4. Toiletry bag

This is where I keep my tiny bottles of shampoo and what have you. There is a hanger that makes the bag easy to…well…hang when you are in the shower. The material is also something that can keep water in or out.

5. Bloggie camera

Sure I have my DSLR with me whenever I hit the road for a trip. But when there are moments when you cannot carry such huge gadget with you, the bloggie comes in handy. It is more of a video camera but it can also take some still shots. It has a rotating camera so taking that sought-after selfie pose becomes handy.
