A Mother’s Day in Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park

August is a special month for the Thais. On August 12, in particular, Thailand celebrates its Mother’s Day in time for the birthday of the Queen. Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park has a way of celebrating this special occasion.

As a tribute to the moms working in its Heart of the House, which is composed of the men and women working in the hotel, a little boy went around the hotel to give flowers. It was a surprise to the mothers who are part of the working team of the hotel as they received the jasmine garlands from a cute little boy.

Located in the Central Business District (CBD) of Bangkok, Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park is the latest international upscale business hotel in Bangkok that offers easy connections for savvy travelers to work and play.

The Hotel is also conveniently adjacent to Lumpini Park and just around the corner from the Silom entertainment district. The BTS Sala Daeng station and the Silom MRT station are just a few steps away from the hotel doors- connecting guests to everything that Bangkok has to offer.

Staying at Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park felt like staying in a part of Bangkok where modern city life meets Thailand’s royal history. I particularly enjoyed its location beside Lumpini Park, Bangkok’s first public park, which has strong royal connections. King Vajiravudh, or Rama VI, donated the land for the park in 1925. His statue still stands at the park’s main entrance, quietly watching over the green expanse.

What makes your stay more interesting is knowing that this historic setting is just outside the hotel. Every time you head to Lumpini Park, you are reminded of how Thailand preserves its royal heritage amid a rapidly changing city.

The hotel also brings to mind Queen Sirikit, whose name and legacy can be found in many places across Bangkok. Although Queen Sirikit Park is in another part of the city, the connection made my stay at Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park feel like more than just a hotel experience. It became another little encounter with Thailand’s history and royalty.

Starting on Level 21, all banquet and meeting facilities offer stunning views of the Bangkok city skyline. All rooms are newly renovated and equipped with modern facilities to meet all one’s business and event needs. The restaurants on Levels 22 and 23 also offer skyscraper views.

All attractions in Bangkok also known as City of Angels are nearby from the hotel, making one’s stay truly worthwhile.
