Spending the night on the train seating was quite an exhausting one. So, imagine our delight to find our home in Bandar Lampung, Lampung Province, Indonesia (READ: First-time in Lampung, Indonesia) perched atop a hill with a spectacular view of the city and the sea. The photos did not do justice with the breathtaking scenery that Emersia Hotel & Resort offers. This accommodation has beautiful cozy rooms, several facilities, restaurants, and other amenities that can provide you with comfort and relaxation. And the good thing about its location is that it is also near the city center.
Cozy hotel rooms
Coming from a long day exploring much of East Lampung, it was such joy to lounge on its soft bed. But not before I do my blog so it was really helpful that I have a working desk in my room with a lamp where I could place my laptop and work on it. There was free wi-fi that got me connected with friends even while I’m traveling. I switched on the flat-screen TV so I can glance on it while working. There were complimentary items, like bottled water, coffee and tea.
I took a peek at the windows for the night city view before I closed the curtains for some privacy. As I was done with my computer work, I enjoyed a hot shower, complete with toiletries and towel.
The day after, my Indonesian blogger friend and fellow Kerala Blog Express Season 4 winner, Indra, who facilitated our free stay in this hotel, knocked on my hotel room early the next day. I remembered him saying about swimming in the pool. I hurriedly wore the bathrobe in the closet and allowed him in the room, then led him through the connecting door to the room of my travel buddy for this trip, fellow Negros Blogger, Jojo Vito.
After a morning shower, I hurried to the pool area. There were kids and families hanging out there. Then pool is just the right size and it’s tucked behind the hotel building, providing privacy to guests who want to take a deep into its waters.
Later that morning we were given a tour of the Presidential Suite. It has an ocean view, has two bedrooms and a common area. VIPs will truly feel special when they stay in this suite. It has privacy and great facilities.
Emersia Hotel and Resort has a total of 122 rooms, which makes it ideal for a two-day or more conferences and meetings.
Banquets and MICE
The day we arrived at Emersia, we saw a wedding reception being set up at their Emerald Ballroom. We stepped in just to take a look at it and it was spacious enough that it can be a good venue for various occasions and events. Apart from its ballroom, Emersia also has five meeting rooms and offers different packages for meetings and events.
Sapphire Restaurant
The day before, we had breakfast in their Sapphire Restaurant, located right at the ground floor, near the lobby. We met Chef Asep Iswanto Acho on our first day, so we looked for him when we got to the restaurant. He was very amiable, showing us the wide food selection. Buffet breakfast was a feast of breads and pastries, desserts, fruits, Asian cuisines, international food, and authentic Indonesian food.
More facilities
Apart from the rooms, the restaurant, the pool and the banquet halls, Emersia also has the Ruby Coffee Shop, a Health Center, and a Business Center. They also assist guests with ticket confirmations, laundry, taxi service and babysitting, among many others.
