I was excited to receive an invite from my high school buddy. She gave birth earlier this year and she would be having a christening for her third child, her only son, Andrei Teomar. She got me as one of the godmothers, too. But what really caught my interest was the invite, which has every bit of TRAVEL decorated all over it.
I went to the ceremony at the church. It was solemn and quick.
One of my fellow godmothers I met at the ceremony rode with me to the reception venue. I almost forgot about the TRAVEL theme until I went inside the hotel hall. What I saw took my breath away.
Every table represented a country or city. I sat at the table with GERMANY as the centerpiece. The German flag was there as well as a miniature of the Brandenburg Gate.
I scanned the venue and saw the following tables – FRANCE, USA, RUSSIA, CHINA, MEXICO, ITALY, TURKEY, etc.
And like a good godmother, I also gave my wish on baby Andrei. My prayers was for him to grow as a God-fearing, Sprit-filled person. Of course, part of my wish is for him to travel the world and be able to visit all the places found on the centerpieces.
It’s also a wish for myself and I hope to make my own dreams come true in this lifetime.
