Stonehill Suites opens in Bacolod City

By Claire Algarme | October 11, 2018 | Category Asia, Philippines, Visayas

The name “Bacolod” came from the old Hiligaynon word “bakolod” that described the stony, hilly resettlement (currently the site of Barangay Granada) that evolved into a city. Now, that piece of history of Bacolod City is brought to memory with the opening of a modern hotel bearing the name Stonehill Suites.

Standing at the corner of 18th Street and San Agustin Drive is this new hotel that houses 25 rooms. The hotel is designed by Mr Joseph Goyenechea and Ms Rubie Gynn Escresa. The opening is in time for the MassKara Festival celebrations. On 26, 27 and 28 October 2018, the hotel’s Skydeck is the venue of the MassKara Takeover.

The Friday night (October 26) will have a Club Piccadilly Takeover all the way from Osaka, Japan with DJ U.S.K, guests Marga on the Mic, Butta B, Hannah Ichiko, plus Bacolod’s very own, RJ Yusay and Melvin Baridiano.

It’s a continuation of the fiesta celebration up at the Stonehill Skydeck with a Saturday gig (October 27) featuring Ace Ramos, JR Lee, DJ Jom, MC Paolo, and Rammy Bitong. Then, it will cap the MassKara week on Sunday (October 28) with a live art exhibit by Jirika Catulay, Elora Lapore, Jennifer Carmona, Racquelin Javier, and James Spencer Pelaez which will be accompanied by a house and live music from Clyde Harris + live musicians, Ken Madalag, Iolo Villo, Kiko, and Joms Delfin on the mic, and a special Sunday DJ set from Nix Damn P.

Hi Joshua! Thank you for visiting my site. However, my blog is not connected with Stonehill Suites nor represent their company. In fact, I was only invited to view its facilities during its opening day. Furthermore, I have no say in their hiring policies and procedures. It would be best that you visit their site and email them directly your resume.
