Resorts World Manila is that beautiful complex across the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 that has a mall, a theater, hotels, condominiums, and a casino. I must say that it is the emerging entertainment center of the capital that offers world-class performances and standard of service. I’ve watched a movie in their theater, shopped in its mall, and attended a conference at the Marriott Hotel.
But my last visit to Resorts World took my breath away. We were going to have a photoshoot in one of its facilities. We were brought by our host to the Maxims Hotel. The lobby at the fifth floor on top of the mall was simple but when we were led to the outdoor crystal infinity pool, I was tempted to jump in.
We circled the pool towards one of the three Royal Villas. It was extravagant and lavish. As we entered the villa, we were greeted by a pool of light that pours in through its glass windows. Even before I could explore the villa, I went straight to the patio that has a garden, a pool and daybeds for relaxation, not to mention a great view of the city.
Reentering the villa, I found myself looking at a comfy living area to my left with luxurious sofas and flat screen TV that has internet capabilities. A wooden sliding door reveals a toilet. To my left was the dining table with a tray of fresh fruits. There were a bar and another sliding door that leads to the kitchen. On both sides of the villa are bedrooms with private toilet and bathroom, connecting to a dressing room.
It was royal living to the maximum. For a brief period, I felt I was on top of the world. That’s the Maxims experience at Resorts World.
