Palmas del Mar: 20 Years of Fun Under the Sun

For 20 summers, guests from all over the world have enjoyed this little piece of paradise in Bacolod, which is Palmas del Mar Resort and Hotel. Sprawled across five acres of land are 55 rooms and villas, function rooms, cottages and three swimming pools, plus other amenities. Because it is situated by the seaside, it gives a beautiful view of the Philippine sunset.

Although it is very near Bacolod’s city center, it is a bit secluded. Palmas del Mar is located inside a village, providing guests with privacy and serenity that they can enjoy. The place is also safe and secure.

The beautiful Promenade

For two decades, Palmas del Mar has hosted many occasions and ushered countless guests. It has been a top destination for a lot of travelers including those who prefer to exchange “I do’s” with the sea and the sunset as their backdrop.

I think this resort is an ideal venue to host a debut party or organize a surprise birthday party of a friend. The atmosphere and setup looks awesome. At night, it can also get quite romantic.

My great aunt celebrated her birthday here. Although I wasn’t around in Bacolod at that time, I heard they had a pretty great party there.

Seems like I have been seeing a lot of reviews about this resort in Bacolod. They are really using social media to promote their resort. That is really the way to go now. Hardly see anything like this on newspapers.

They have also found that sites like TripAdvisor where guests give reviews are a good way to attract more travelers.

We went there for the 20th anniversary mass and dinner so we never got to capture the place while the sun was up. Good thing the night photos still came out fine.

The place looks nice, it would be great to go here with friends. It’s affordable too since you can split the bill to four people.

Yes, it is wiser to go here in groups so that the cost per person can be lower.

My family has a plan of paying our friend a visit in La Carlota and get to see Bacolod as well. But if we decided to have a night stay in Bacolod, I will absolutely choose this place.

It’s a nice place to stay when in Bacolod. It’s just a bit secluded but you’ll never want to leave the resort when you stay here.

Palmas Del Mar looks like the perfect getaway place for a family. They have excellent facilities here.

Children are safe in the resort. Still, adult supervision is needed so that they are more secure and far from danger.

Nice review of the venue! I was in Bacolod thrice, and perhaps I’d check out the resort the next time I visit. Looking at the pics, the resort seems cozy and the ambiance is relaxing. They must be doing a great job to stay in the business for 20 long and fruitful years. 😉

Palmas del Mar is a bit secluded that’s why it seems like a best-kept secret in Bacolod.

the resort looks good! How conveniently is it located with respect to the tourist attractions in phillipines?

    1. firsttimetravel Avatar

It is in Negros Occidental in the Visayas region. The Negros Island is located between Panay, where Boracay is part of, and Cebu, the oldest city in the country.

It looks really lovely. The fact that it’s stayed for 20 years says a lot about the quality of service and other things the resort provides.

    1. firsttimetravel Avatar

I agree. And we hope it stays for more years given the challenges and demands of modern travelers.
