With a theme of “The Promise Renewed”, the Panaad sa Negros Festival is back after three years in hiatus. Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose “Bong” V. Lacson and Vice Gov. Jeffrey P. Ferrer spearheaded the opening ceremony of the Panaad sa Negros Festival 2023 with the Provincial Board Members and the Mayors and local officials of the 13 cities and 19 municipalities of the province present to show their solidarity.
Also present were DOT Sec. Christina Frasco and Senators Francis N. Tolentino and Christopher Lawrence T. Go.
The 27 candidates of the Lin-ay sang Negros were also presented to the public during the opening program at the Panaad Park and Stadium. They were presented to members of the media on April 14, 2023 at the Ayala Capitol Central where they answered questions from the media and presented their talents to the audience. Lin-ay sang Himamaylan Lyzabelle Blythe Villa was handpicked by the press as the Muse of the Media. The coronation night will be on April 14, 2023 at the Panaad Stadium.
