First-time in Nobu Hotel, City of Dreams Manila

City of Dreams. Three hotels, over 20 restaurants, a casino, spas, entertainment clubs, and meeting and events venues. I was fortunate to have been invited to Manila by Vivo,  maker of smart phones, and billeted me at Nobu Hotel in City of Dreams, the first Nobu Hotel in Asia. A Comfy Place to Lay My Head

No less than Hollywood award-winning veteran actor Robert De Niro and his partners opened the 321-room hotel in 2015. So, it was still pretty new when I stayed in one of the Nobu Deluxe rooms. The best part was that I stayed at the 8th floor with a view of the pool and facing the Manila Bay.

The room is spacious at 38 sqm. It has wide windows that allows natural light in, giving me a good view of the scenery outside while allowing me to take in the Japanese design of the interiors of the room.

Natural light fills the spacious room. The bed is comfy, too.

I had a king-size bed, which was very comfy, along with the soft pillows and bed warmers. The room has two pairs of slippers, a safe where I could keep my things, an iron and ironing board, a Natura Bisse bath set, and Ikaati premium tea.

Delectable Food

Breakfast at Nobu Restaurant was a buffet of salad and morning fare, such as sausages, eggs, tomato with bacon, and other delicious food. The interiors were elegant and charming as was their crew and staff. From the North Tower, I passed through the gardens and the pool, with the great view of the egg-shaped dome in glittering gold colors, which was a pleasant walk before and after breakfast.

Tomato with Bacon was one of the food I feasted on for the breakfast buffet.

When we arrived the day before, we were also treated to a sumptuous lunch at the Red Ginger, a 24-hour restaurant located inside City of Dreams, near the Casino area. We had Salt and Pepper Tofu, Chicken Wings with Sticky Chili Jam, and Squid with Coriander and Kaffir Lime Leaves. We capped our lunch with a serving of fresh tropical fruits.

I only stayed for a night and two days but it was like living a dream. Someday, I’ll return and enjoy the suite life in Nobu Hotel. It would be a wonderful place for a staycation, to just enjoy the amenities and relax from the daily grind.

    • Hi Daisy! First off, thank you for reading my article about my stay in Nobu Hotel. Secondly, I am sorry to hear of your booking but I would just like to point out that I am in no way connected with the hotel. I, too, was a guest there. I was not sponsored by the hotel but a brand that invited me to an event billeted me there. Anyway, you can find the contact details of the hotel at the end of the article above.
