As Bacolod City celebrates its 39th MassKara Festival on 8th to 28th October 2018, Philippine Airlines, the country’s first and only 4-Star global airline, will kick-off the festivities on the eve of the opening through a free concert, featuring Sponge Cola. This is the first time that PAL is participating in MassKara in full-scale. They will also join the electric MassKara parade on October 26 to 27.
PAL flies the Bacolod-Manila route seven times in a day, Bacolod-Cebu twice a day, and Bacolod-Clark from four times a week to daily starting October 28. PAL has also connected local and international travellers to its 34 domestic and 42 international destinations from hubs in Manila, Cebu and Clark.
As MassKara Festival gains recognition from different parts of the world, it is invited to perform in other festivals abroad, to help bring the Philippines to the global spotlight.
The free concert, dubbed as PAL night, will be held at the Bacolod Government Center grounds that will also feature local artists. Gates will open at 7:00 PM with the MassKara dancers to officially open the festival at 12 midnight.
Other highlights of the MassKara Festival are the Electric MassKara Performing Floats Competition and the Street Dance and Arena Competition, along with several events and attractions throughout its three-week celebration.
