First-time in Ging-Ging Tourist Inn

As we were preparing for our Oslob-Badian weekend adventure, we were very flexible with our itinerary as we didn’t know how our day would go by. We were contemplating on staying the night at Oslob after our whale shark watching or in Badian where we would be having our canyoneering adventure at Sunday morning. Since we needed to be up early for the canyoneering, we decided to spend our Saturday afternoon traveling from Oslob to Badian and stay the night there.

Our canyoneering guide, John Lucero of the Lucero Adventures, was kind enough to look for a place for us. He made reservations in our behalf at Ging-Ging Tourist Inn since the beach front resorts were already full. It was a budget hotel and one that was apt to our taste.

Ging-Ging Tourist Inn is a new building along the highway, at the heart of the town. Below the three to four-story structure is a 7-11 convenient store and a 24-hour bakeshop. It was also a stone’s throw away from the rows of barbeque stalls and other stores.

Since it’s new, Ging-Ging Tourist Inn is clean with some amenities available for the guests. There’s a free wi-fi service (which has strong signal only at the ground floor level), a flat screen TV with cable channels, a hot and cold water dispenser at the second floor, and good shower and bathroom facilities.

The beds are quite spacious. Our room had three beds and we put them side-by-side so that all four of us could fit. They offered an additional mattress but we refused. Still, we paid a total of P1,700 (app. USD 37) for the room even when we didn’t get the mattress. It was a reasonable deal and a good place to rest from one adventure to another.

Did you travel by bus to arrive at Ging Ging Tourist Inn?

    • From Oslob, we took 2 buses to Badian and dropped off at the house of our guide along the highway then took a motorcycle to Ging Ging Tourist Inn. But the Ceres bus going to Moalboal passes through the inn.

      • Thanks a lot for your reply. We will be travelling from Cebu airport, down to Ging Ging Tourist Inn. Do you think that this will possible? Also, do you know if one can book online? We couldn’t find anything on any website.

      • It was our guide who contacted Ging Ging Tourist Inn. I tried to get the number but I never got a reply from him. I’m not sure of the bus route with regards to traveling to Badian from Cebu City as we came from Oslob. But it’s just along the highway, in the busy section of the town. It’s also the only building in Badian. You can check FB as there are pages directing to Ging Ging Tourist Inn. One page bears this number: 0916 527 2710. You can try to contact this number.

      • Thanks a lot for your help! Much appreciated! 🙂
