Sapori D’Italia literally means flavors of Italy. It is one of the newest restaurants that recently opened in O Residences along Lacson St. in Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
[UPDATE 2023: The restaurant has closed and is no longer in operation in this location.]
Its opening is a testament that Bacolod City, often called the City of Smiles, continues to grow as a gustatory destination in the Philippines. More and more cuisines are introduced to Bacolodnons and the Negrenses, as well as to its visitors.
Sapori D’Italia is a coffee and restobar that is open from ten in the morning until ten in the evening. They serve wine, beer, pizza and pasta. Chef Jose Gerry Badiana has infused his creations, which provided a unique twist to regular Italian dishes. Let’s say that it is something like a “Philippines, specifically Bacolod, meets Italy” kind of culinary marriage.
They have polo pana, or a chicken dish, forta folio, Masskara Pizza, Pizza Lamb, Pasta Marinara, and Filleto as among the food choices in their menu. They have several other dishes to offer that you can try out.
The ambiance of the restobar is quite homey, yet artsy. Large murals of the coliseum, both its exteriors and the activities inside it, are featured on the walls of Sapori D’Italia. A brick oven is also visible from the entrance. The restaurant is accessible, just being a close neighbor to the Robinsons Mall. Yet, it has a quiet ambiance that will make great conversations over a meal more relaxing and comfy.
