Travel Exchange at SM City Bacolod

By Claire Algarme | November 9, 2015 | Category Asia, Philippines, Visayas

Travel Exchange

If you missed the Travel Exchange at the SM City Bacolod last October 23-25, this article will take you to what was featured in that expo.

It coincided with the United Nations Day and the ground floor of SM City Bacolod’s North wing was filled with revelry. Kids in various costumes paraded while adults visited the booths of the participants of the Travel Exchange.

Tourism offices of Western Visayas, Negros Occidental and Bacolod City were present. Cebu Pacific, Get Go, Go Hotels, Enchanted Kingdom, L’Fisher Hotel, PAGCOR, and travel agents participated in the said expo.

We listened to some of them give their presentation and how visitors and guests can enjoy their services.

Cebu Pacific

Cebu Pacific is the number one budget carrier in the country that has opened flights to international destinations where there are many Overseas Filipino Workers. Some of these destinations are Dubai, Tokyo, Narita, to name a few.

The airline has also merged with Tiger Airways Philippines. It has established its GetGo club for loyal customers. Recently, Cebu Pacific has also enhanced its logo and identifiers, making its design more fun and vibrant.

Enchanted Kingdom

Established on October 19, 1995, Enchanted Kingdom has been around for 20 years already and is still the Philippines’ first and only world-class theme park. It consists of rides and attractions unique to the country. It has seven meticulously themed zones interspersed with rides, food, attractions, entertainment, merchandise outlets and kiosks as well as the various game stands, providing their guests with an “enchanting and magical” experience.

Negrenses should really enjoy that magical experience when going to Luzon. Located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Enchanted Kingdom is just a few hours from Manila and very accessible.

Dipolog and Dapitan

The twin cities of Dipolog and Dapitan, located in Zamboanga del Norte, is one of the historic and nature destinations in the country. It is known where the national hero, Jose Rizal, lived in exile. It also has world-class resorts, such as Dakak, and a theme park called Gloria de Dapitan.

I’ve been to Zamboanga del Norte (my blog post here) and I must say that it is one of the best vacations I had so far. It is also in one of my top ten favorite destinations in the Philippines.

I’m glad that the Travel Exchange has been done here in Bacolod City. Negrenses are fun-loving people and travel is definitely one thing that locals will enjoy doing.
