When the shuttle service we took from the airport dropped us in front of our hotel, I admit I was a bit disoriented. The first signs I saw were Gucci and Louis Vuitton and I thought there must be some mistake. But as I scanned the area the second time around, I saw Grand Windsor Hotel right beside these stores. The Grand Windsor Hotel Auckland is a true testament to elegance and sophistication. This luxurious hotel in the heart of Auckland, New Zealand, seamlessly blends timeless charm with contemporary comforts.

Set in the cosmopolitan CBD of Auckland, along Queen St., the Grand Windsor is within the neighborhood of commercial brands, office headquarters, skyscrapers, souvenir shops, and other interesting landmarks of the city. Yes, it is also a few blocks away from the Sky Tower and Sky City.
The hotel building is a historic structure, which was built in 1936. The interiors speak of classy ambiance, fused with a modern look. In fact, there are plenty of heritage buildings around Auckland and they have preserved these structures as they are now used as offices, stores or hotels.

Grand Windsor is a block away from Britomart and two blocks away from the Viaduct Harbour. Within a few distance, you can already visit different points of interest. And since it is located in the city’s premier shopping district, you can find almost anything within the area. Plus, buses ply along Queen St., so commuting is also easy when you are booked in this hotel.
A boutique-style hotel, Grand Windsor offers various amenities that can make you feel so at home. The rooms are equipped with a kitchenette, ironing set, TV, hot shower, refrigerator, complimentary coffee and tea, and so much more. The beddings are comfortable. Each room has individually controlled air conditioning and free wifi access.
